Daniel Beaty's THROUGH THE NIGHT, A SOUL ARIA, to Play Crossroads Theatre, 2/11-2/21

From February 11 through February 21 the Crossroads Theatre in New Jersey will present the World Premiere of Daniel Beaty's newest solo play THROUGH THE NIGHT, A SOUL ARIA.
The show, written and performed by Daniel Beaty tells of A series of events which bring together the six males who span the ages from ten to sixty and who are in different life stages across American society. 5 men, 1 boy- discover the power of possibility through one extraordinary event.The production will be directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, who also staged Beaty's EMERGENCE-SEE at the Geffen Theatre. The show will be 90 minutes long and officially opens on February 13. Daniel Beaty is a singer, write, and compose who has worked throughout the US, Europe, and Africa in a variety of styles ranging from television to solo concerts to theatrical productions to opera including a performance at the White House, The Kennedy Center in tribute to Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, and The Apollo. This fall Daniel completed a highly acclaimed sold out extended run of his one man play EMERGENCE-SEE! Off-Broadway at the Public Theater. Awards include 2007 Obie Award for Outstanding Writing and Performance, 2006 Ovation, Acclaim, & Everyday Freedom Hero Awards.
