International touring production celebrates rhythm, movement, and Black college culture.
New Jersey Performing Arts Center will present DRUMLINE LIVE on Sunday, February 8, at 7 p.m. at Prudential Hall’s Betty Wold Johnson Stage in Newark.
DRUMLine Live is an international touring production that showcases the marching band tradition of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The stage show blends precision percussion, brass, and choreography to reflect the energy, discipline, and musical innovation associated with HBCU band culture.
The performance features original compositions alongside reinterpretations of popular Top 40 songs, infused with soul, funk, and hip-hop influences. Audiences can expect choreographed routines, intricate drum cadences, and dynamic ensemble work that highlights both musical skill and athletic movement.
Known for its high-energy presentation, DRUMLine Live combines pounding percussion, vibrant brass, and dance to create an immersive concert experience designed to engage audiences of all ages.
