Constantine Maroulis Visits Strand Center for the Arts' ROCK OF AGES
Fresh off of its Broadway run, ROCK OF AGES will debut in New Jersey July 31 - August 8 at the Strand Center for the Arts produced by Exit 82 Theatre Company. Constantine Maroulis, the American Idol Alum who received a Tony nomination for originating the lead role in ROCK OF AGES on Broadway, recently visited Exit 82's rehearsal and gave his stamp of approval! Constantine enthusiastically watched a run through of the show and spoke with the cast afterwards about the rockin' nature of this show and bringing these classic 80's characters to life!
It's the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strip's last legendary venues, a place where mega star Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing and falls for small-town girl Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes. But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the Strip into just another strip mall. Can Drew, Sherri and the gang save the strip-and themselves-before it's too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Poison and more hold the answer!

Performances run Friday, July 31st at 8pm, Saturday, August 1st at 8pm, Sunday, August 2nd at 2pm, Thursday, August 6th at 7pm, Friday, August 7th at 8pm and Saturday, August 8th at 8pm. All performances will be held at the historic Strand Center for the Arts in downtown Lakewood.
