Theater fills the Lackland Center as Centenary Stage Company announces its 2016 - 17 professional theater line-up. The Sitnik Theater is set to burst with audience favorites as this season's main stage professional theater series includes three exciting CSC produced plays; Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of the Jersey Lily, Mary Poppins and The Surrogate and welcomes three incredible solo performances Kick, Hard Travelin' with Woody and The Other Mozart as the CSC Fringe Festival returns for its second installment in the Kutz Theatre.

Centenary Stage Company launches its professional theater series with Katie Forgette's Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily October 7 - 23 in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's mastermind detective, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, and witty playwright Oscar Wilde come to life in this delightful play as Holmes must find a blackmailer and stolen intimate letters exchanged with the Prince of Wales. Performances for Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily are Fridays, Oct. 7, 14 and 21 at 8pm; Saturdays, Oct. 8, 15 and 22 at 8pm; Thursdays, Oct. 13 and 20 at 7:30pm; Sundays, Oct. 9, 16, and 23 at 2pm and Wednesdays, Oct. 12 and 19 at 2pm. All performances are held in the Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center. Tickets range from $17.50 to $27.50. Centenary Stage Company continues its tradition of the Family Holiday Musical with the delightful Mary Poppins November 25 through December 11 in the Sitnik Theater. Everyone's favorite practically perfect nanny takes the stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure. Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers, live orchestra, and astonishing stagecraft. Perfect for the whole family.

Performances for Mary Poppins are Fridays, Nov. 25, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 at 8pm; Saturdays, Nov. 26, Dec. 3 at 8pm and Dec. 10 at 2pm and 8pm; Thursdays, Dec. 1 and 8 at 7:30pm; Sundays, Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 at 2pm and Wednesdays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 at 2pm. Finally, CSC wraps up their mainstage professional theater series the World Premiere of Patricia Cotter's The Surrogate. Developed in last season's Women Playwrights Series and winner of the 2016 Susan Glaspell Award, The Surrogate runs February 17 through March 5 in the Sitnik Theater. O'Neill National Playwrights Conference finalist, The Surrogate is an "All in the Family" for the 21st century - a smart, funny play about what we can ask of our friends, our parents and spouses, and whether we'll get any of our important life decisions right. When Billy and Sara ask their best friends Margaret and Jen to be the guardians of their precious Tallulah (and yet - to - be - born baby Carroll), lives change and friendships are tested, and the definition of what makes a modern family is rewritten. Fringe Theatre returns to the Edith Kutz Theater for the 2016 - 17 season as Centenary Stage Company presents three exciting solo performances in the second annual CSC Fringe Festival. This year's festival includes Kick, Hard Travelin' with Woody and The Other Mozart.

Centenary stage Company "kicks" off it CSC Fringe Festival with Kick by Joanna Rush. It's not how high - It's how strong. Follow the story of former Rockette "Bernie" from a kick line to A Chorus Line to Hollywood and back in a powerful one woman show that weaves a tale with wisdom and humor. Individual performances are Thursday, October 27 at 7:30pm; Friday, October 28 at 8pm: Saturday, October 29 at 8pm and Sunday October 30 at 2pm. The CSC Fringe Festival continues with Hard Travelin' with Woody. Iconic Folksinger Woody Guthrie is memorialized in this critically acclaimed, award - winning multimedia solo show packed with Guthrie's spirit, music, and artworks. Written and performed by Randy Noojin, Hard Travelin with Woody runs November 10 - 13 in the Kutz Theatre of the Lackland Center. Performances are Thursday, November 10 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 11 at 8pm; Saturday, November 12 at 8pm and Sunday, November 13 at 2pm. Tickets are $22.50 for adults and $15.00 for students/children under 12 on matinees and Friday performances. Saturday evening ticket prices are $25.00 for adults and $17.50 for students and children under 12. Finally, the CSC Fringe Festival wraps up with the true and untold story of Nannerl Mozart in The Other Mozart. November 17 - 20 in the Kutz Theatre, Sylvia Milo brings to life the sister of Amadeus Mozart - prodigy, virtuoso and composer - who performed throughout Europe with her brother; to equal acclaim, but her work and her story faded away, lost to history. Performances for The Other Mozart are Thursday, November 17 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 18 at 8pm; Saturday, November 19 at 8pm and Sunday, November 20 at 2pm. Tickets are $22.50 for adults and $15.00 for students/children under 12 on matinees and Friday performances. Centenary Stage Company also offers a variety of "flex pass" and season subscription options. Become a Season producer for $250 single patron and $400 for two patrons to gain access to all 17 events in the 2016 - 17 season with up to 70% savings. CSC also offers a "Series A Flex Pass" which grants entry into any 7 events for $105.00. A "Series B Flex Pass" grants entry to all three main stage shows (Sherlock Holmes, Mary Poppins & The Surrogate) and all three fringe shows (Kick, Hard Travelin' with Woody & The Other Mozart) for $90.00. Finally a "Series C Flex Pass" grants entry to any three events of choice for $60.00. Flex passes are for CSC events only and don't include the NJ Civic Youth Ballet Nutcracker.
