Camden, New Jersey playwright Joseph Paprzycki celebrates the publication of his play Last Rites with a book party at Max's Seafood Café, 34 N. Burlington Street Gloucester, NJ 08030, phone (856) 456-9774 on December 2 from 6-8pm. The event features a book signing, a reading of Last Rites by local actors, and a question and answer session with playwright Joseph Paprzycki.

Last Rites takes place in Camden, New Jersey in 1967 as the blue-collar city witnesses the closing of its shipyard. Set in Walt's Café, the corner bar owned by Joseph Paprzycki's grandparents Walt and Sue Evanuk, Last Rites explores the lives of shipbuilders, their wives and the parish priests as the shipyard closes.

Joseph M. Paprzycki is an author of forty-seven plays and screenplays including Last Rites, Tennessee's Final Curtain, Understudies, and Youth in America. He was born and raised in Camden, NJ where four of his plays and one screenplay are set. He is also the Producing Artistic Director of the South Camden Theatre Company.
