New York City Casting Director, Bob Cline will direct "Das Barbecü" at 4th Wall Theatre, a non union professional theatre in Bloomfield, NJ.  "We are thrilled to have Bob directing our season closer," says 4th Wall Executive Director, Gwen Ricks-Spencer.  "Bob is a terrific director and started working with 4th Wall back in 1999.  This marks his 12th production with the company."

"Das Barbecü" with book and lyrics by Jim Luigs and music by Scott Warrender ran off-Broadway in 1994 with a cast that included Carolee Carmello, Julie Johnson, Sally Mayes, J.K. Simmons & Jerry McGarity.  It is loosely based on Wagner's massive four-part opera The Ring Cycle, but is compressed into a fun little two-hour musical comedy with 30 different characters portrayed by five actors: complete with dwarfs, lasso roping and a full fledge barbecue consumed by two women on stage in under five minutes.  If you missed the run almost 15 years ago in NYC, take a 15 minute trip across the river to catch this fun little ditty!

Judy Stanton is the musical director of the 4th Wall production and the show features Erin Edelle, Marisa Cucuzza, Donna DeCicco, Matt Burns and Gregory Allen.  The musical will run weekends from June 6-21 at the Westminster Arts Center in Bloomfield. NJ.  More info at www.4thwalltheatre.org.  Tickets are $22 and can be reserved at: 973-748-9008 ext 279 or purchased at the door.
