Bergen Performing Arts Center Announces 2012 Gala Series Featuring Moody Blues, Regis Philbin and Gladys Knight

The Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey presents the 2012 Gala Series. The2012 Gala Series will allow patrons to enjoy unforgettable performances as well as raise funds that will serve to expand and promote bergenPAC's beyondEDUCATION programs.

beyondEDUCATION makes arts training and performances available to children throughout Bergen County - regardless of financial limitations.  "This year, it is our goal to raise over $200,000 to expand the programming of beyondEDUCATION," says Edmondo Schwartz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at bergenPAC.  "The funds we hope to raise will allow us to add to our roster of top arts education instructors and double the size of current enrollment.  The Bergen Performing Arts Center is already known for bringing world-class entertainment to Northern New Jersey.   For 2012/2013, we would like for beyondEDUCATION to achieve the same recognition, as one of the top performance arts schools in the state." 

The beyondEDUCATION program is comprised of four elements: beyondDANCE, beyondSTAGE, beyondMUSIC, and beyondTHEATER.  Each of these elements offers top quality programming to families and children to stimulate learning and spark creativity and imagination.  This year marks the one year anniversary of Music Speaks, a subset of the beyondMUSIC program that provides developmentally appropriate musiceducation for children ages 0-4. beyondEDUCATION is unique, as it offers world-class instruction close to home while giving students the opportunity to attend master classes by touring artists performing on the theater's mainstage.  The goal of beyondEDUCATION is to create a learning environment that enriches all levels of talent while cultivating the excitement and creativity inherent in the arts for all participating.
