Barn Theatre to Open 86th Season with VERONICA'S ROOM, 9/6-28
The Barn Theatre in Montville, New Jersey is proud to open its 86th Anniversary Season with Ira Levin's chilling thriller "VERONICA'S ROOM." Performances will be on September 6, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 8pm; and on September 7, 8, 15 and 22 at 2pm. Tickets are $18 (senior/student tickets are $16 on matinees only).
Written by the author of "Rosemary's Baby" and "Deathtrap", The Barn Theatre's production of "VERONICA'S ROOM" is directed by Omar Kozarsky and explores the thin line between fantasy and reality, madness and murder. Unexpected twists and turns will keep you on The Edge of your seat as it tells the story of college students Susan and Larry, who are invited to an New England mansion by its caretakers. Susan is encouraged to impersonate Veronica (a long-dead daughter of the family) in an effort to provide comfort to Veronica's only surviving sister. But once dressed in Veronica's clothes, Susan finds herself locked in the role... and locked in Veronica's room. The Village Voice said"VERONICA'S ROOM" is "like being trapped in someone else's nightmare... jarring and (with a) surprising climax... a neat, elegant thriller!"
The 4-person cast of 'VERONICA'S ROOM' features Wendy Schibener (of Morris Plains), William Michael Harper (of Roseland), Laura Kennedy (of Denville), and Michael Lawlor (of Glen Rock).
The Barn Theatre is located on Skyline Drive in Montville, NJ, just minutes off Exit 47 from Route 287. For more reservations, information or directions, call The Barn Theatre Box Office at (973) 334-9320, or visit The Barn on the web at www.barntheatre.org.
