Review: OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES at GSP Rings in the New Year with Laughter

The renowned show, Old Jews Telling Jokes is now onstage at George Street Playhouse through the New Year's weekend until January 3rd. You will thoroughly enjoy the uproarious jokes, musical pieces and skits that will keep you smiling in 2016. Laugh out loud moments are guaranteed. There are matinee and evening performances on New Year's Eve, an evening performance on New Year's Day and matinee and evening shows are available this weekend. The show enjoys wonderful direction by Matt Silva and delightful musical direction by Jeffrey Lesser.

Old Jews Telling Jokes is written by Daniel Okrent and Peter Gethers and is based on the original internet series created by Sam Hoffman. The popular book by the same name is now in its fourth printing.

Old Jews Telling Jokes has universal appeal as it covers a wide range of adult subjects including family, work, relationships and marriage. The cast includes Jude Flannelly as Reuben, Sharon Geller as Bunny, Bob Greenberg as Morty, Jeffrey Lesser as Nathan and Samantha Joy Pearlman as Debbi. The company makes the show a totally fun happening with perfect timing and great portrayals of their roles.

The design team includes scenic design by Joe Binck and Ryan George, costumes by Jillian Rose Keys, lighting design by Andy Shaw and sound design by Larry Fowler.
