BWW Blog: Leanne Marie Laurino - Broadway Remembers

Some of the most iconic musicals are inspired by American Heroes. Shows such as On the Town, South Pacific, and Miss Saigon embody those who serve in the armed forces. This week, the Putnam County Spellers take a moratorium to honor the brave men and women who fight for our right to freedom. Aside from a three day weekend and some time with our families, those who lost their lives in battle deserve our tribute. Getting the opportunity to portray such a valiant character is quite the feat. Broadway remembers and celebrates heroes with huge hearts and endless pride for our country. As we count down to our production, it is important to keep in mind that without the courageous military forces, we would not be able to pursue our love for theatre. On behalf of the Putnam County Spelling Bee, I would like to send thanks to anyone who is brave enough to wear our colors.
