Aspire PAC Presents MATILDA JR. Pilot Production
Aspire Performing Arts Company is "revolting!" Tickets are available now for Aspire PAC's upcoming pilot production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical JR., running Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11 at Hackensack Performing Art Center in Hackensack, NJ.
Adapted from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical - Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical JR. is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. With a book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda has won 47 international awards and continues to thrill sold-out audiences of all ages around the world.
Aspire is thrilled to once again partner with Music Theatre International (MTI) for this exciting pilot process, which allows MTI to fine-tune the script, music, and materials before the rights become available to schools and theatres.
Performances will take place on Friday, November 9 at 7:30pm, Saturday, November 10 at 3:00pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday, November 11 at 3:00pm at Hackensack Performing Arts Center, located at 102 State Street in Hackensack, NJ. Aspire PAC's pilot production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical JR. is directed and choreographed by Aspire PAC Artistic Director, Lisa Beth Vettoso, and features musical direction by Charles Linnell and additional choreography by Kacie Broadfield.
Aspire PAC, established in 2011, has earned a strong reputation in the Northern New Jersey area for its high-quality theatrical productions and professional arts experiences for local youth. Over the past two seasons, Aspire PAC has won 13 National Youth Arts Awards and has been nominated for multiple New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT) Awards.
