Capitol Center for the Arts Sets MET: Live in HD Screenings for 2015-16

The Capitol Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that it will present 11 productions in next season's Met: Live in HD series, beginning with Verdi's Il Trovatore on Saturday, October 3, at 12:55pm. Pontine Theatre to Present A TRAVELING TOY THEATRE FESTIVAL, 9/8

Tuesday 8 September at 7pm, Pontine Theatre presents A TRAVELING TOY THEATRE FESTIVAL at it's West End Studio Theatre. Three countries meet on one small stage: Trudi Cohen and John Bell, members of the NYC-based collective Great Small Works, team up with Facto Teatro from Mexico City and Barbara Steinitz from Berlin to share a program of Toy Theater in venues across New England. Tickets are $18 and may be purchased in advance online at www.pontine.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door a half-hour prior to the performance, based on availability. New Hampshire Theatre Project kicks off their 27th season with Hot Mama Mahatma, written and performed by Karen Fitzgerald, the actress formerly known as Karen Abrami.  Karen graced Seacoast stages for 15 years, in dozens of lead roles with some of the area's top actors, before heading south to New York City in 2004.  While there, she wrote Hot Mama Mahatma, a comedy about her post divorce adventures. The tagline? "She went to India to get enlightened but got turned on instead!" Besides playing to sold out audiences, Hot Mama Mahatma won the Producer's Award at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in Manhattan.
