On Friday, March 6 at 7pm, award-winning writer Tayari Jones visits The Music Hall Lounge with her new book, KIN. A magnificent new novel from the bestselling author of An American Marriage, KIN is about two lifelong friends whose worlds converge after many years apart in the face of a devastating tragedy.

This 7pm event features a moderated conversation with JerriAnne Boggis, Executive Director of Black Heritage Trail of NH, and is followed by an audience Q&A and a post-show meet-and-greet. It will be held at The Music Hall Lounge at 131 Congress St., Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

About the Author:

Tayari Jones is the author of five novels, including An American Marriage, which was an Oprah's Book Club selection and also appeared on Barack Obama's summer reading list, as well as in his year-end roundup. It won the Women's Prize for Fiction, the Aspen Words Literary Prize, and an NAACP Image Award and has been published in two dozen countries. Jones is the C.H. Candler Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University and lives in Atlanta. Her latest novel is Kin.

The ticket package for Literary in the Lounge: Tayari Jones with KIN on Friday, March 6, at 7pm is $47. The ticket package includes a signed book (KIN, $32, hardcover), an author discussion, Q+A, and a post-show meet-and-greet.
