Seacoast Rep 'Silver Celebration' Commemorates 25 Years

Nearly 200 members, supporters and volunteers joined in celebration at the Seacoast Rep's 25th Anniversary Silver Celebration. Part fundraiser, part show, part auction, the event brought in more than 40-thousand dollars for the Seacoast Repertory Theatre.

Attendees were treated to selections from past shows including Cabaret, Little Shop of Horrors, Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar, the Full Monty. The songs were performed by resident artists and the Teen Stage Ensemble.

Auction items ranged from jewelry donated by local boutiques like Alex and Ani, Springers Jewelers and Le Club and Port City Shoes to stay and play packages from the Sheraton Portsmouth and the Green Monkey, to a trip to Sweden, donated by local philanthropist Helen Goransson.

There was also a large selection of fines wines, two lots hand-chosen and donated by local philanthropist Jude Blake. Some of the handcrafted items included a quilt by Susan M. Gold, and a photograph on canvas by Jay Schadler.
