Players' 85th Summer Season Takes To The Stage With Something For Everyone ImageThe Peterborough Players begin their 2018 Summer Season on June 20th with the award winning one-man show, Tru: From the Words and Works of Truman Capote.

One of the most celebrated writers of the 20th century, Truman Capote was also one of its most complex personalities. His personal dalliances and extravagant lifestyle matched his writing and flair for the dramatic. The wild success of Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood made him a transcendent literary star and gave him entrée to New York's social elite... until he decided to write about them. Tru is a one-man play adapted from his words and works and takes place in the writer's New York City apartment at Christmas, 1975. Starring Kraig Swartz and directed by Players Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen, Tru was the winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show and plays June 20-July 1. Rated PG-13.

The Players Second Company also opens their first of two shows for audiences of all ages on June 23rd with the delightful tale, The Wind in the Willows. The famous English country gentleman, Mr. Toad of Toad Hall, and his friends, Otter, Badger, Ratty, and Mole come to Hadley Road this summer in a grand rendition of one of the world's classics for children. The Wind in the Willows plays on select dates from June 23-July 21. Rated G.

Tickets can be purchased online anytime at www.peterboroughplayers.org and by calling the Box Office at 603-924-7585. Box Office hours are 10am-4pm and 10am-Showtime on show days. Single tickets to TRU are $42. The Wind in the Willows is $9 for children and $11 for adults.
