Players' 85th Summer Season Takes To The Stage With Something For Everyone
One of the most celebrated writers of the 20th century, Truman Capote was also one of its most complex personalities. His personal dalliances and extravagant lifestyle matched his writing and flair for the dramatic. The wild success of Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood made him a transcendent literary star and gave him entrée to New York's social elite... until he decided to write about them. Tru is a one-man play adapted from his words and works and takes place in the writer's New York City apartment at Christmas, 1975. Starring Kraig Swartz and directed by Players Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen, Tru was the winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show and plays June 20-July 1. Rated PG-13.
The Players Second Company also opens their first of two shows for audiences of all ages on June 23rd with the delightful tale, The Wind in the Willows.
