Emmy Winner Gordon Clapp Stars in Peterborough Players' STELLA & LOU, Opening This Week

Gordon Clapp, Emmy Award winner for his role in NYPD Blue, returns to star in the Peterborough Players' sixth production of the season, The play is Bruce Graham's new romantic comedy, STELLA & LOU. It debuts Wednesday, August 26th at 7:30pm.

STELLA & LOU takes place in a South Philadelphia bar and it is an intimate exploration of friendship, forgiveness, and the longing for companionship that grows with the passage of time.

The Philadelphia Inquirer calls it "A Philly-voiced play with universal depth." and the Chicago Tribune Globe says "beer and wisdom flow freely." Author Bruce Graham, a Philadelphia native, has won global recognition for his plays including multiple Barrymore Awards.

Gordon Clapp is a veteran of stage, screen and television. He is currently co-starring in NBC's Chicago Fire. Gordon's co-star in STELLA & LOU is Kathy Manfre. Gordon and Kathy both starred together in Auld Lang Syne, a 2012 production of the Peterborough Players. Ms. Manfre won the New Hampshire Theatre Best Actress Award for that production and this season she directed our Second Company production of The Jungle Book.

STELLA & LOU is directed by Gus Kaikkonen, Artistic Director of the Peterborough Players.

STELLA & LOU plays from August 26th to September 6th. Tickets are $39 each. Students (with proper ID) can purchase tickets one hour before any show for $15.

The theatre is located at 55 Hadley Road in Peterborough, New Hampshire, approximately 90 minutes from Boston.
