After two successful editions Suburban Disco returns tonight back at 013. This time adorn two German headliners on the bill which have both created a furore by various releases on Ostgut Ton; the label of the legendary club Berghain in Berlin.
In addition to his numerous EPs, and even an album at the renowned label, Marcel Fengler best known for his residency at Berghain since pretty much day 1. His sets he leaves often depend on the context: the one time punching and justice for-your-face, he just as easily ambient and electronic influences allow to take the upper hand next time. Since 2011 Fengler also has his own label, IMF, where he himself as well as other talented producers on late release.
Answer Code Request is not a little boy. He's got a resident spot at Berghain and he makes several times a year to hear his fundamental Berlin techno sound. His tracks are often dark and gloomy atmosphere combined with a broken and bass-heavy undertone; which particularly strongly revealed in his earlier work. One of the highlights in his career was the release of his album "Code" in 2014. Exactly that dark atmosphere and broken beats were very well received. So the album 4.5 out of 5 star standards given by Resident Advisor and a lyrical review by The Quietus "one of the best home records Ostgut listening HAS yet released."
