Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus is a champagne-soaked comedy of mistaken identities and social mischief set around a masked ball where no one is quite who they claim to be. Soprano Emily Margevich makes her Knoxville Opera debut as Rosalinda, opposite baritone Brian James Myer as Eisenstein, with soprano Rachel Blaustein as Adele, tenor Julius Ahn as Alfred, baritone Philip Schneider as Dr. Falke, baritone Andrew Wilkowske as Frank, and mezzo-soprano Kira Dills-Desurra as Prince Orlofsky. Noam Aviel conducts and Dean Anthony directs this evening of waltzes and disguise.
