Nashville Ballet closes its 2025–26 Ruby Season with the Attitude Series, featuring three contemporary ballets at TPAC's Polk Theater. The program is anchored by the Tennessee premiere of Sherlock, choreographed by Penny Saunders and co-produced with Grand Rapids Ballet and Ballet Idaho, bringing the iconic detective to life through a blend of contemporary, jazz and classical ballet, with lead roles performed by Garritt McCabe or James Lankford, Shaiya Donohue or Michael Burfield, and Farin Taft or Sarah Pierce. Also on the program is the world premiere of Lumina, choreographed by Maria A. Konrad and inspired by Adele Bloch-Bauer and the artwork of Gustav Klimt, alongside Wake the Neighbors by Tony Award–nominated choreographer Donald Byrd, set to a score by Kris Bowers and performed by James Lankford or Garritt McCabe. The evening also marks the retirement of principal dancers Michael Burfield, Claudia Monja and Brett Sjoblom from the company.
