Street Theatre Company to Present REALLY ROSIE, 7/12-27
Street Theatre Company's ClassAct Dramatics presents the beloved children's musical, "Really Rosie." This fantastic story is written by Maurice Sendak (author of "Where the Wild Things Are") and features music by the incredible Carole King.
Rosie, the self-proclaimed sassiest kid on her block of Brooklyn's Avenue P, entertains herself and her friends by acting out show biz fantasies, notably directing and starring in an 'Oscar winning movie' of her own creation. But things get a little tricky when her sister, Chicken Soup, is nowhere to be found! What will they do?? Featuring 20 area young people ages 7-15, and directed by Emory Colvin and Erica Haines, "Really Rosie" is a jewel for children and adults of all ages.
"Really Rosie" runs for three weekends July 12th through July 27th, with shows Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm.Tickets are just $7, so bring the family! To purchase tickets, visit www.streettheatrecompany.org or call 615-554-7414. Performances are at Street Theatre, 1933 Elm Hill Pike, just off the Briley Parkway.
