Transcestral is an original creation by Oktoecho bringing together Sufi and Indigenous music and dance traditions, including Inuit, First Nations, and Métis. Under the direction of Katia Makdissi-Warren, the performance features Nina Segalowitz, Moe Clark, Anouar Barrada, Sandrine Masse, Wapan Boivin, Kenny Verreault, Adam Barrada, and Sam Ojeda. Youth from the Maison des jeunes de Bordeaux-Cartierville and La Dauversière School will join the artists on stage to present their own creations. This 11:30 a.m. performance is presented as part of the Ahuntsic-Cartierville Family Festival.
