Every year Infinitheatre proudly presents Quebec's newest discoveries in The Pipeline, an annual series of free public play readings where the audience takes centre stage, offering valuable feedback that furthers script development and helps choose future seasons. Guy Sprung, Infinitheatre's artistic director, invites the public to be part of the excitement and share their views from Friday, November 30 - Sunday, December 2 at Espace Knox. The Pipeline is three plays in three days-including The Kevin, first place winner from Infinitheatre's annual Write-On-Q! script writing competition, boasting the largest English literary prize in Quebec. The playwrights will be in attendance.

Critically acclaimed playwright Oren Safdie has brought Montreal such controversial hits as Unseamly, a nervy play that deals with sexual harassment in the garment industry, and Mr. Goldberg Goes To Tel Aviv, a rollicking farce that jumped head-first into the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Even bolder, Gratitude starts out as an innocent high school crush before snowballing into a life-changing moment for three coming-of-age boys and one girl. Safdie directs this world premiere, playing at MainLine Theatre from Nov. 21-Dec. 2. The subject matter can be disturbing and deals with sexual material. For ages 16+.

The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is proud to present the Montreal premiere of Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story co-produced by 2b theatre company and the National Arts Centre. Co-created by Hannah Moscovitch, Ben Caplan, and Christian Barry, and starring musician Ben Caplan, this international cult hit is inspired by the real-life love story of Moscovitch's great-grandparents immigration to Canada. The Tashme Project: The Living Archives is an award-winning verbatim theatre piece that has been crafted from over 70 hours of interviews with 20 Nisei (second generation Japanese Canadians) from Vancouver, Toronto, Hamilton, Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal. Show creators /performers Julie Tamiko Manning and Matt Miwa are proud to be part of Centaur Theatre's Brave New Looks from Nov. 15-24, kicking off the national tour of this important show about the WW2 internment of Japanese Canadians. September marked the 30th anniversary of the Canadian Government's formal apology and the Japanese Canadian Redress Agreement, a historic landmark in the evolution of human rights in Canada. The play is an embodiment of Nisei character, language, spirit and story. There will be post show artist talks after each performance.

The Children, written by British playwright, Lucy Kirkwood, made its debut in November 2016 at the Royal Court (London, UK) and subsequently opened on Broadway a year later at the Manhattan Theatre Club, earning two Tony Award nominations, including Best Play. Now, after a successful run at Canadian Stage last month, directed by Centaur Theatre's Artistic and Executive Director, Eda Holmes, the production makes its Quebec premiere at Centaur from November 6 to 25, 2018.
