Pulitzer Prize-winning author, David Maraniss, follows Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi through a week in the 1965 season, as he attempts to lead his team to the championship. The Wall Street Journal writes, “I know nothing about football, but LOMBARDI held my attention from start to finish. An extremely well-crafted piece of intelligent theater.” Though football’s Super Bowl trophy is named for him, few know the real story of Lombardi the man: his inspirations, his passions and ability to drive people to achieve what they never thought possible.
