Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Anaconda Ensemble Theatre (AET) by witnessing ‘The War of the Worlds’ at the Montana Hotel, directed by Founder and Artistic Director Jackie Vetter.
This iconic and famous play is based on a broadcast from New York’s Mercury Theatre in 1938 and is sure to thrill and chill. Based on the novel by H. G. Wells, when this play premiered in 1938, it had many terrified listeners convinced that an actual alien invasion of Earth was taking place. This production will peak into a live radio studio, as we see the actors play multiple characters, reenacting these terrifying moments, as they go through the “last days of earth’.
This production runs October 2 - 4 and 9 - 11 at The Montana Hotel at 200 Main St. Anaconda, MT.
All performances are at 7 pm, with doors opening for seating and the donation-only bar at 6:30 pm.
The run time of the show is 1 hour and 15 mins with no intermission.
