Verge Theatre Announces April Programming

By: Mar. 14, 2017

Here is what is happening at Verge Theater in April. See the full lineup below!

Main Stage In April:

The Rocky Horror Show (8th Annual)
The cult favorite, written by Richard O'Brien, is back! Whether you're a Rocky Virgin or have been corrupted over and over again, this STAGE spectacular will surprise and excite you. The movie made it a phenomenon but there is NOTHING like the experience of seeing this hit musical LIVE and in the FLESH!

Unassuming new fiancees Brad Majors and Janet Weiss take a wrong turn and find themselves vulnerably seeking the help of mad scientist transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter. The "good" doctor, along with his freakish and scantily clad minions, show Brad and Janet a night that will change them forever; a night YOU won't soon forget!! There will be costume prizes (come dressed as your favorite character), and Audience Participation call-outs are welcome and encouraged!

There is JUST one long weekend of this most unusually thrilling production, so make reservations online now at vergetheater.com or stop in at Cactus Records in Downtown Bozeman. Tickets are only $14. Recommended for ages 17+. Verge Theater is located at 2304 N.7th Ave, across from Murdoch's! A big city tradition right here in small town Bozeman. Don't let the opportunity to TIME WARP AGAIN pass you by!

PERFORMANCES INCLUDE:
THURSDAY APRIL 20 at 8pm
FRIDAY APRIL 21 at 8pm
SATURDAY APRIL 22 at 8pm
SUNDAY APRIL 23 at 12am (following the 8pm Saturday show)

Monday Night Improv On The Verge

Recover from your weekend with Improv Comedy! Join us as we offer up a Monday Night sacrifice of the most daring, death defying type of live theater there is: Improv! We call it Improv on the Verge! Improv Monday Nights feature The Bozeman Improverts who will beguile you with their laser-like wits, sharp tongues, and obnoxiously large heads.

These masterful, main stage players improvise sketches built around audience suggestions, play improv games similar to those you see on Who's Line Is It Anyway, and perform long form improv that is basically making up short plays on the spot. You have to experience this to believe it!! It's a mere $7 to get in and laugh like hell at our team of S.W.A.T. trained Improv Players. (S.W.A.T. = SouthWest Alternative Theater).

Our upcoming shows are on April 10 and 24. All Monday Night Improv shows begins at 7pm. Reservations can be made online atvergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records in Downtown Bozeman. Verge Theater is located at 2304 N. 7th Ave, across from Murdoch's, on the extremely hysterical North Side of Bozeman.

Family Stage In April:

The Emperor's New Clothes
Kathryn Schultz Miller's dynamic and fun stage adaptation of the classic story is packed with action, laughs, and magic tricks! Under the Direction of consummate funny man Todd Hoberecht, lots of hilarity is in store when Peter, the mischievous tailor, comes up with his sure-fire get rich quick scheme--to embarrass the vain Emperor and make off with a basket of gold! Peter uses all his wit and magic to convince the court he can make magic clothes! Only those who are very smart can see the clothes, he tells them, so everyone pretends they can see the clothes until... Someone in the audience shouts out the truth!

The Emperor's New Clothes runs at 2pm on Saturdays from March 25-April 29. It's only $7 for an hour of family fun. Reservations online atvergetheater.com or in person at Cactus Records. Verge Theater is located at 2304 N. 7th Ave, across from Murdoch's, on the extremely happy North Side of Bozeman.
