Vox Lumiere, a performing group showcasing the next evolution of entertainment presents its spellbinding show, "The Phantom of the Opera" at the Ordway on Sunday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Target® World Music and Dance Series.

Vox Lumiere transports audiences into a world where beloved silent film, rock music and dance create a one-of-a-kind, electrifying event. Vox Lumiere's "The Phantom of the Opera" projects the 1925 classic silent film and weaves in exciting new music, dramatic staging and imaginative live performance. "The Phantom of the Opera" dares to unmask the secrets of the famous phantom by bringing the film masterpiece to life.

"Vox Lumiere rediscovers the vibrancy of the classic silent film ‘The Phantom of the Opera,' making a live performance experience of new energy and excitement," says Patricia A. Mitchell, Ordway president and CEO.

Vox Lumiere, meaning "voices of light," was founded in 2000 by Artistic Director Kevin Saunders Hayes and is based in Los Angeles. The concept for this new art form was planted during a shopping trip and has blossomed into a five-time, first-round Grammy-nominated performing company. Vox Lumiere travels the world introducing new audiences to the treasures of silent films and to the beauty of live performance.

Prior to the public performance, the Ordway will host an Ordway Extra in the Ordway's Marzitelli Foyer at 6:30 p.m., featuring an interview with Hayes. There will also be a reception in the lobby following the performance that is open to audience members. During Vox Lumiere's time in Saint Paul, Minn., the company will reach nearly 6,000 students through Ordway's Performing Arts Classroom Series school matinee performances.
