Broadway’s biggest stars are on a mission to help… themselves. When four down-on-their-luck actors hear about a small-town Indiana teen banned from bringing her girlfriend to prom, they see a chance for a PR makeover. But their over-the-top activism turns the town upside down, leading to laughter, love, and a show-stopping celebration of individuality.
With an infectious pop score and tons of heart, THE PROM—a Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical—is a joyous story about love, acceptance, and the power of standing up for what’s right. Grab your tickets and join the party!
“THE PROM is a lovely nod to musical theatre,” shares director Amanda White. “It has glitter and jazz hands and great production numbers but it also delivers a powerful and clear message about standing up for who you are and who you love. Whether you're a theatre fan, an advocate for equity and justice, or just someone who enjoys a feel-good night out, THE PROM promises a show that’s as entertaining as it is meaningful.”
The cast of THE PROM features the talents of Dorian Brooke (A CHORUS LINE), Ethan Crank (Lyric Arts debut), Caitlin Featherstone (MAMMA MIA!), Emily Grodzik (9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL), Erik Haering (RIDE THE CYCLONE), Elizabeth Florence Hale (THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY), Imani Harris (RIDE THE CYCLONE), Shenna Janson (Lyric Arts debut), Lexi Johnson (RIDE THE CYCLONE), George Kleven (Lyric Arts debut), Sydney Lin (Lyric Arts debut), Catherine Maki (BIG FISH), Xan Mattek (Lyric Arts debut), Andrew Newman (THE MUSIC MAN), Parker David Payne (THE MUSIC MAN), Colin Perucco (Lyric Arts debut), Drew Reynhout (AND THEN THERE WERE NONE), Kate Spence (Lyric Arts debut), Quinn Wambeke (MAMMA MIA!), and Sophia Rose White (Lyric Arts debut).
