BROADWAY’S BEST: Schwartz & Sondheim at Sunset Playhouse

If you love musical theater, then you’re already familiar with this pair of Stephens–two of Broadways finest composers. Covering their remarkably-wide body of work in our normal 80-minute format would be nearly impossible. So we made an executive decision to expand this particular concert with two additional performers AND an intermission!

Act One will cover much of the Stephen Schwartz songbook, both theater and film: PIPPIN, GODSPELL, WICKED, WORKING, POCAHONTAS, HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, and ENCHANTED.

Act Two will feature the best known songs from the late Stephen Sondheim’s incredible legacy: WEST SIDE STORY, GYPSY, FUNNY…FORUM, ANYONE CAN WHISTLE, DO I HEAR A WALTZ, FOLLIES, COMPANY, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, SWEENEY TODD, INTO THE WOODS, SIDE BY SIDE…, MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, and SUNDAY IN THE PARK.

Musical MainStage hasn’t covered the Great White Way in several years and we have an exceptionally-talented cast so tickets for this one will go fast. See you on Broadway!
