In association with the Theatre for Social Change class, this multimedia production will address social justice issues while using methods from Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed. Each show includes a talkback on the Afro-Brazilian Diaspora featuring University of Detroit Mercy professors and Fulbright Hays scholars from the region.
The audience will be invited to the stage to warm up their bodies and imaginations before participating in some of the scenes and forum events throughout the production.
