ANN ARBOR - The Penny Seats Theatre Company will host its first ever Summer Preview Event on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 7:00pm at The Pretzel Bell restaurant in Ann Arbor. The free event, held in the restaurant’s new Captain’s Room event space, will feature scenes from the group’s upcoming shows at West Park, songs by cast members, a silent auction featuring items from local retailers, a raffle, and announcements about the group’s next steps. Tickets are available at www.pennyseats.org. Food and beer will be provided free of charge. All are welcome, but as space is limited, advance reservations are required.
The evening will be a chance for patrons to mingle with the Penny Seats summer casts, crew, and staff, bid on a variety of auction items donated to benefit the group, win prizes, and watch a sneak peak of scenes from upcoming Penny Seats shows (The Renaissance Man, a comedy written and directed by award-winning Michigan playwright Joe Zettelmaier, and Peter and the Starcatcher, a clever prequel to Peter Pan, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice). Among the auction items are packages, tickets, and gifts from local restaurants, theatres, fitness centers, and more. A full list of sponsors will be available on the group’s website.

The Penny Seats Theatre Announces Residency At Stone Chalet Bed And Breakfast Inn And Event Center
November 07, 2019The Penny Seats Theatre Company is proud to announce that it will take up residency at Stone Chalet Bed and Breakfast Inn and Event Center on Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor. Beginning in 2020, the Inn's Event Center will house all Penny Seats work, including rehearsals and performances throughout the year, with the exception of the group's annual summer outdoor shows in Ann Arbor's West Park.
