Drama Desk Award Winner for Outstanding LyricsOuter Critics Circle Award Winner for Best Off-Broadway Musical What is Talent? That is the question asked of the audience at the hilarious show, Ruthless, the Musical. A wonderful, irreverent romp that tells the tale of little Tina Denmark, an eight-year-old girl who dreams of stardom. Sylvia St. Croix, an overbearing and sleazy agent, encourages Tina to audition for the school play, Pippi in Tahiti, The Musical. Unfortunately for Tina, the director casts an untalented (but parentally connected) girl, Louise Lerman, for the lead, making her the frustrated understudy. But Tina isnt as sweet as she appears, and when push comes to shove, she will do ANYTHING to win the part, including murdering the competition! This aggressively outrageous musical hit received rave reviews during its long Off-Broadway run.
