Tipping Point Theatre presents the Michigan premiere of Bess Wohl’s Tony Award-nominated play, featuring a blend of humor and honesty as it explores the complexities of family dynamics. The story follows Bill and Nancy, a couple who, after fifty years of marriage, face an unexpected challenge when Nancy announces her desire for a divorce, sending their adult sons into disarray. Directed by Karen Sheridan, the production features a talented cast including John Seibert as Bill, Leigh Strimbeck as Nancy, and Bryan Lark as Ben. The heartfelt narrative invites audiences to reflect on love, expectations, and the essence of family connections in a rapidly changing world.

The Tipping Point is that one dramatic moment in an epidemic when everything can change all at once…and we’ve reached it in a BIG way! From operating as a “vagabond” theatre company under the umbrella of the Parks and Recreation department, performing in any empty space we could get our hands on and paying actors with smiles and applause – we opened in 2007 with big changes – tipping point changes! Incorporated as a professional, non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the state of Michigan, Tipping Point Theatre opened its doors as a professional Equity theatre company in our permanent facility in downtown Northville. TPT is currently under the direction of James R. Kuhl and led by Board President Nannette Ret. Join us in fulfilling our mission by continued participation as an audience member, actor, designer, donor and advocate for theatre in Michigan. Looking forward to seeing you “at the Point!”
