Florence + The Machine to Play the Fox Theatre, 7/31

On the heels of the November release of the stunning Ceremonials CD, one of 2011's most critically acclaimed albums, Florence + The Machine are heading back for the second leg of their North American tour to include Detroit's Fox Theatre on Tuesday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets ($30, $45 and $65) go on sale Friday, February 24 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, LiveNation.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Florence's April/May tour follows her last appearance in the US, which included sold out dates at Summerstage and the Greek in LA as well as the Bonnaroo Music Festival and four stadium shows with U2, including Spartan Stadium in East Lansing in the summer of 2011.
With recent appearances on Saturday Night Live, GMA, X-Factor, The View, VH 1 Divas and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve, Florence fans will get to enjoy the star in a triumphant return to the live stage. Florence + The Machine are expected to perform songs from Ceremonials as well as songs from her multi-platinum debut album Lungs. Florence + The Machine will also be appearing on an upcoming MTV Unplugged in March. Ceremonials, recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios and produced by Paul Epworth (Adele) was released in the US on November 1st and debuted on the Billboard Top 100 Charts at No. 6. Nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist and an MTV Video of the Year Award with unforgettable performances on 2010's MTV Video Music Awards, the Grammys and the Academy Awards, Florence Welch is poised to cast her spell as she dances across US concert stages.
