"The Lady Swims Today"

By H.G. Brown

South Florida Premiere

AT THE ATLANTIC THEATER IN JUPITER OCTOBER 2 - 11, 2009

The play, presented by Brownswan Productions, will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.  Tickets are $20.00 and can be ordered by calling The Atlantic Theater box office at 561-575-4942 or by visiting the website at www.TheAtlanticTheater.com.

Welcome to the Carney Hook Marina Motel, where three, desperate men are tempted to join the heist of a lifetime. It's summer, 1984, Eddie has a plan, and he needs a crew to pull it off. When these schemers and dreamers come up against three women with plans of their own, the course to a fortune is threatened by more than bad weather. The Lady Swims Today is a drama in the tradition of Key Largo and To Have And Have Not, with film noir shadows and flashes of comedy.

This is the south Florida premiere, following two off Off Broadway productions in 2007.  The current cast includes veterans of The Barn Theater and the Pineapple Playhouse. Steve Dionne, last seen in The Barn's production of The Boys Next Door, plays the role of Eddie, supported by his wife, Jorene Dionne, along with Dawn Furtado, Liz Petrel, Chip Schandelmeier, Steve Cardin, and John Avitabile. The author, H.G.Brown, will direct, assisted by Jose Torres, another vet of productions on the Treasure Coast.
