The Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association Christmas Parade to Celebrate Maltz Jupiter Theatre's 10th Anniversary

By:

The Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association presents the 36th Annual Christmas parade on Sunday, December 9th starting at 1 p.m. This year's parade will be themed "Broadway on Parade" in honor of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's 10th Anniversary Season.

This family-friendly extravaganza will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, and last approximately two hours. The parade will begin on Alt. A1A and Center Street (in Jupiter) and proceed north on Alt. A1A to Bridge Road (in Tequesta). Floats will be judged by the Jupiter Tequesta Junior Women's Club and prizes awarded in three categories.

Leading the committee of longtime friends and acquaintances are the parade's directors, Jupiter residents Mike and Sue Cesarano, who have been spearheading the event for the past 27 years. The event draws at least four bands, numerous floats, more than 2,000 participants and more than 5,000 spectators each year.

"The parade will once again fill the streets with floats, bands, and entertainment. The marching bands will fill the air with holiday music; of course, Santa will be there to see all the anxious little ones. Floats will be judged and prizes awarded," said Michael Cesarano, JTAA Parade Director.

This free community event brings all ages together to share in the magic of the holiday spirit. Bring your chairs and blanket and the entire family to watch this sensational parade featuring the one and only Santa Claus.

"We are all proud to be a part of this tradition that involves so many wonderful people and privileged to carry on the tradition of this parade that started thirty-six years ago," Cesarano added.

To participate in the parade, please complete the registration form online at www.jtaa.org. Free registration is available by bringing a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the US Marines "Toys for Tots."
