The Music of the Paramount Pictures Era
"
Celebrates Golden Hits from the Silver Screen
Original musical production stars Palm Beach’s own Mia Matthews

In 1929, Paramount won the only Best Picture Oscar given to a silent movie for Wings. Once the studio added sound, it was the songs in its films that soared. Thanks for the Memories: The Music of the Paramount Pictures Era comes to the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts from Thursday April 12-Sunday April 15. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased at the Kravis Center Box Office 701 Okeechobee Blvd, in West Palm Beach, by visiting www.kravis.org or by calling the Box Office (561) 832-7469 or (800) 572-8471.

In addition to blockbuster musicals including Saturday Night Fever, Footloose and Flashdance, the studio scored such popular songs in its heyday with "Thanks For The Memory," "Swinging On A Star," "Moonlight Becomes You, "Que Sera, Sera" and more.

Carbonell Award winners Wayne LeGette and Lisa Manuli join Mia Matthews, Jamison Stern and Memories and Melodies Series creator Barry Levitt in this salute to the silver screen's golden hits.

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and Mazel Musicals, Inc. present this crowning production of 2011-12 Memories and Melodies season directed by Levitt, the former Artistic Director of New York's 92nd Street Y’s smash Lyrics and Lyricists Series,
