Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre is pleased to have Selma Sotolongo join the company as Audience Development Manager.

Before coming to Actors' Playhouse, Sotolongo managed the arts, culture and nonprofit category for the Miami Herald Media Company. She was with both the media company and its former parent company, Knight Ridder, for 29 years working in various capacities. For the past two years, Sotolongo served as Business Development Manager at Diario Las Américas, directing new business efforts and increasing brand awareness for the multimedia company in the arts and culture community.

"I have known and worked with Selma for over 15 years in her previous positions, and I am thrilled to welcome her on board as an important member of our professional team" said Actors' Playhouse Executive Producing Director Barbara S. Stein.

In her new role at Actors' Playhouse, Sotolongo will manage the sales operations for new and existing patrons and groups. She will also be involved in all aspects of increasing the theatre's audience attendance, growth and awareness.

Sotolongo studied Journalism at both the University of Tennessee and Florida International University, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Political Science.
