Dr. Haim Shaked is a Tenured Professor of International Studies at the University of Miami since 1988, Incumbent of the Dr. M. Lee Pearce Chair in Middle East Peace Studies, Founding Director of the Sue and Leonard Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies and Director of the George Feldenkreis Program in Judaic Studies at the University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences, Director of the Middle East Studies Institute, and one of the founders of The Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya in Israel. Born in Tel Aviv and educated at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (B.A. and M.A. Cum Laude) and at the University of London (Ph.D.), Former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Trustee of Tel Aviv University, co-founder and former head of the Moshe Dayan Center/Shiloah Institute for Middle Eastern and African Studies in Israel, Co-founder and editor of Middle East Contemporary Survey. He is also the author and editor of numerous books and articles on the modern history and politics of the Middle East, keynote speaker, lecturer, consultant on the Middle East to private and governmental bodies.
