Parade Productions to Offer Staged Reading of SINGLE MOTHER'S SOCIETY, 11/17
By: Tyler Peterson
Parade Productions will light the lights this 2014/2015 season with a lineup of versatile and talented playwrights. On November 17, 2014 at 7:30pm there will be a free staged reading of Single Mother's Society (working title), penned by South Florida playwrights David Michael Sirois, Mark Della Ventura and Gabriel Hammad. Imagine a world where in order to "undo" the tying of the matrimonial knot, the ceremony has to be re-enacted ... in reverse. Seattle based playwright Holly Arsenault creates such a world of divorce drama in her dramedy, Undo, which will open on January 29th and will run throughMarch 1st, 2015.
Directed by Kim St. Leon, Undo will feature Katie Amadeo, Todd Bruno, Candace Caplin, Michael Gioia and Carbonell - Award winning actress Margot Moreland. Arsenault is the recipient of the 2013 Theater Puget Sound Gregory Award for an Outstanding New Play as well as the 2014 Seattle Theater Writers Gypsy Rose Lee Award for Excellence in Local Playwriting. Arsenault has passionately taken on the role of Executive Director for Seattle's TeenTix (www.teentix.org ), a non-profit organization that focuses on empowering young people to take an active role in shaping their arts community as audience members, critics, influencers, advocates, patrons, and leaders.
