Maltz Jupiter's Annual Palm Beach Idols Talent Show Held 7/25, Auditions 6/20
The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is excited to announce the sixth annual Palm Beach Idols. In conjunction with the Theatre, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild is producing the popular Palm Beach County talent show of local performers of all ages on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 7:30pm.
The auditions for the 2009 Palm Beach Idols will be held, by appointment only, on Saturday, June 20 from 12pm to 8pm. To schedule, please call (561) 972-6120. Performers of all ages including singers, dancers, musicians, performers and more are encouraged to audition for a chance to win cash prizes.
There will be three categories: youth, teen and adult. Each category will have three winners decided by panel of local celebrity judges. The final winners will then be determined by an audience vote.
"As part of the Guild's mission, we co-produce this event to encourage local talent to come out and get involved in the performing arts world," says Eileen Weissmann, Event Coordinator and Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild board member. "Palm Beach Idols, a sell-out success, is one of the many fundraisers the Guild hosts yearly to benefit the Theatre's Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA)."
As a not-for-profit theatre the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, recognizing the importance of arts education for youth, has made its mission to "entertain, educate and inspire." COPA offers a challenging, innovative and quality theatre experience to students of every ability and provides professional theatre training as well as tools to develop their imagination and self-esteem. COPA offers classes in dance, voice, acting and musical theatre as well as workshops featuring local and national talent throughout the year.
