A searingly unsentimental look at the profound self-doubts that often drive our behavior as individuals, usually without our knowledge. It takes place during rehearsals for a new one-actor, multiple-character play, a first theatrical effort by a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist. The dark personal fears of the talented director, actor and author soon trigger desperate problems - showing how we often damage our work, our lives and the lives of others through a completely wrongheaded and irrational lack of self-confidence. Importantly, it also demonstrates that we don't need to be this way - we can overcome these hidden feelings of only we will face them.
