BERNADETTE, THE MUSICAL
Jubilanti Artists, a non-profit organization, in collaboration with
St. Joan of Arc Church in Boca Raton and the St. Coleman Church in
Pompano Beach, will present a semi-staged musical reading of BERNADETTE, the Musical, by Sonja Karlsen.
It is based on the true story of Bernadette Soubirous (St.
Bernadette) of Lourdes, France. She was the 14-year old girl who saw 18
apparitions of the Virgin Mary at a grotto nearby. One of these visits led to
the appearance of a miraculous spring known worldwide for its healing
powers.
An extraordinary professional cast includes seasoned European, New
York and Florida operatic and Broadway singers. The role of Bernadette
will be performed by celebrated soprano, Sandra Schwarzhaupt.
