Asolo Rep Will Announce 2011-12 Season on March 7th
Asolo Repertory Theatre's Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards will announce the 2011-2012 season of plays on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Greg Leaming, director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, will also announce his selections for the next Conservatory season.
The event ushers in Asolo Rep's 53rd year as Florida's premiere professional theatre and unveils the next season to the press and public for the first time. Eager theatregoers traditionally fill the house in hopes of being among the first to find out what Asolo Rep has planned for the coming season. The event also marks the last chance for early subscribers to take advantage of super savings for renewal subscribers.
Asolo Rep has continually raised the bar by featuring productions that have both wowed audiences and garnered critical acclaim, including rave reviews from The Wall Street Journal and sweeping regional theatre awards. Join Asolo Rep fans and supporters on March 7th to learn about and celebrate the next level of entertainment excellence when Asolo Rep presents its 2011-2012 Season Announcement and themed after-event reception.
Doors open at approximately 3:30, with the event running from 4-5 p.m., and a reception with light refreshments in the lobby following the presentation.
The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Seating is first come, first seated.
Press is encouraged to attend and photograph the event for print and broadcast. Asolo Rep will also have photos and video available after the event.
Location: Asolo Rep mainstage theatre (Mertz Theatre) at 5555 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, Florida. Call the Asolo Rep Box Office for event information at 941-351-8000.
