Playhouse on the Square Holds 'Sandy' Auditions & Announces Adoption Event

We got "Annie"! Now the search is on for "Sandy". Playhouse on the Square will host auditions to find a loveable dog to play orphan's best friend in the upcoming holiday production of Annie.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 22nd in conjunction with Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County. October is Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month and we're partnering with HSMSC to help some wonderful animals find loving homes. They will be on hand with the Mobile Adoption Unit offering half-price adoptions for dogs ($56) and cats ($45). Fees include spaying/neutering, microchip, vaccines, and more. So join us if you have a sweet, mid-sized dog that's sandy in hue and perfect for the stage OR if you're ready to meet a new best friend.

Auditions and adoptions will take place from 10 am - Noon at The Circuit Playhouse, 51 S. Cooper. If you plan to audition, please RSVP to Katharine Stubblefield at Katharine@playhouseonthesquare.org or 901-725-0776 by October 18th. Please bring a picture of your dog with you to auditions (pictures will not be returned). Dogs must remain on leashes at all times.

"Sandy" will be needed for rehearsal beginning October 30th. A schedule will be distributed at the check-in table. Doggy parents will be compensated with a subscription if your dog is chosen.
