Memphis Musician Opens for Grammy Winning Father at the Halloran Centre 3/4
The On Stage at the Halloran Centre series welcomes Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience with Marcella & Her Lovers for one night only on Saturday, March 4th at 7:30 PM. The GRAMMY® Award-winning artist teams up with his daughter for a special night of music.
"We fell in love with Memphis years ago and it just intensified when Marcella relocated there to attend Memphis College of Art in 2009," said Terrance Simien. "In 2015 we became full-fledged, tax-paying homeowners of this hip and diverse city when we bought a house in Cooper-Young! So here we are in 2017, forever grateful to the awesome Ron Jewell for curating this rare and wonderful performance opportunity for me to share the bill with my talented daughter Marcella. Hope I do her proud, as she has done me."
Since 1981, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Terrance Simien has been shattering the myths about what Zydeco music is - and is not. Leading his highly skilled and well-traveled Zydeco Experience band, Simien has become one of the most respected and accomplished artists in American roots music today. They have performed over 7,500 concerts, and toured millions of miles to more than 45 countries during their eventful career. Join Simien for this one-of-a-kind experience as he takes the stage with his daughter's band, Marcella & Her Lovers.

This event will take place at the Halloran Centre located at 225 South Main Street, adjacent to the Orpheum Theatre.
