Broadway at Good Theater: Twin Pianos Edition at Good Theater

Good Theater is proud to present the annual musical event BROADWAY AT GOOD THEATER – with a twin pianos twist! Nine singers, the two amazing pianists from last season’s CAROUSEL, and a surprise line-up of tunes from some of Broadway’s most beloved scores will delight audiences in this special subscription event.

BROADWAY AT GOOD THEATER: TWIN PIANOS EDITION will feature special Broadway guest star George Dvorsky. Dvorsky, whose credits include THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, PASSION, and GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES on Broadway, a run at Lincoln Center as Prince Charming in the NYC premiere of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA, and Count Ludovic in PASSION with Patti LuPone for PBS. He currently tours with Broadway legend Chita Rivera in her acclaimed concert THE RHYTHM OF MY LIFE, and can be seen in the recent groundbreaking rom-com BROS (2022).

Also featured will be DaShaun Williams, making his Good Theater debut. An up and coming vocalist and actor, Williams has been featured off-Broadway and in regional productions around the country. Williams is one to watch, and Good Theater is thrilled to introduce Portland audiences to him.

Maine singers Joel Crowley, Molly Frantzen, Anna Hawkes, Joseph Hitchcock, Abbey Hutchins, Mikayla Jane, and Lynne McGhee will also be featured, with Hawkes and Jane making their Good Theater debuts. Twin pianos will be played by musical director Victoria Stubbs and Miriam Schwanauer, returning after their triumphant run as the pianists for last season’s CAROUSEL.

“The twin pianos were such a hit last year with CAROUSEL, I wanted to feature them again.”, says Allen. “I looked at a number of shows but none of them were quite right for us. Consequently, I decided to create an event featuring songs from some of Broadway's classic shows with their glorious twin piano arrangements. We will have nine singers and I'm going to act as host and tour guide offering up gossip, little known facts and some history on these great musicals.”

BROADWAY AT GOOD THEATER: TWIN PIANOS EDITION will play Wednesday at 7:00, Thursday at 7:00, Friday at 7:30, Saturday at 3:00 and 7:30, and Sunday at 2:00. A limited number of $10 rush tickets will be available for each performance beginning two hours before showtime, and may be purchased online or at the door.
