The Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to announce upcoming celebrity appearances in Singin' in the Rain, by well know television and radio personalities. Making their "splash" on The Playhouse stage during the current smash hit musical, Singin' in the Rain, are Joe Cupo and Kevin Mannix of WCSH News Center 6 in Portland, Maine and Boston's WCVB-TV Channel 5 Anchor, Randy Price. Also, looking forward to getting their feet wet on stage are radio hosts Mike Pomp of WTSN and Jeff Paradis of 98.7 the Bay.
Who better to be seen with Don Lockwood (Joey Sorge) in the all-singing-, all-dancing, all-splashing Sining' in the Rain sequence than meteorologists Joe Cupo and weather forecaster Kevin Mannix? The iconic rain scene brings real rain showering down on the Ogunquit stage for the beloved dance number. Both weathermen thought it would be fun to take part in a "controlled" weather experience for a change! Kevin Mannix will appear on Wednesday, September 2nd, during the 2:30 matinee and Joe Cupo will make his stage appearance Saturday, September 5th, during the evening performance
Also appearing as part of the Ogunquit Playhouse Celebrity Splash will be broadcast veteran and news director, Mike Pomp of the WTSN Morning Information Center and host of the awarding winning Open Mike talk show heard weekday mornings at 11. Mike will hit the stage in Singin' in the Rain on Thursday evening, September 6th. Jeff Paradis, host of 98.7 the Bay soft rock Seacoast in the Morning will make his Ogunquit Playhouse stage debut during the evening performance on Friday, September 4th.
Sunday, Sept 6th at the 7PM performance, Boston's WCVB-TV Channel 5 Anchor, Randy Price, will join the fun and appear live on a stage in special guest spot during the rain sequence and other scenes. In his 20 plus years on Boston television, Price has won numerous awards, including a national Edward R. Murrow Award for best newscast, the broadcast industry's highest honor. He is also well-known in New England's civic and philanthropic communities, regularly volunteering his time to raise funds and awareness for a variety of causes.
