Maine State Music Theatre to Add Additional MAMMA MIA Performance!
Maine State Music Theatre announced yesterday that the professional theatre company has added an additional performance of their fourth main stage show of the 2016 season, MAMMA MIA!. The newly added performance will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
MSMT Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark made the announcement from the stage during his curtain speech at the opening night performance of Ghost the Musical, the first main stage show of the theatre's summer season.
"We are on track to break every sales record in Maine State Music Theatre history," Clark said. "Due to the overwhelming success and popularity of the 2016 shows we are thrilled to be able to announce this addition at the start of our season."
MSMT is one of three regional theatres in the nation with exclusive rights to ABBA's smash-hit musical, fresh off of Broadway. This tale unfolds on a sunny Greek island paradise when, on the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. The show will run from August 10 to August 27.
