Maine State Music Theatre presents JACK AND THE BEANSTALK appearing on the Pickard stage Wednesday, June 15, 2015 at 10 AM and 1 PM, and a special showing on Saturday, June 18 at 11:00 AM. Children of all ages are welcome at MSMT's Theatre for Young Audience shows.

The beloved children's tale follows a young boy named Jack who is forced to sell his only pal, Angus the Cow. In this fractured fairy-tale filled with bovine best friends, imprisoned harpists, hungry mothers, pining giant spouses, rapidly descending behemoths and a boy whose dreams are as big as the sky, we learn that if you believe, anything is possible.

Regular MSMT Director/Choreographer Marc Robin and MSMT Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark created book, lyrics, and music for this production. Clark himself will be directing and choreographing the show.

The cast of seven is comprised of local actors and University of Southern Maine students. Leading the tale is Eric Berry Sandelin of Gorham, Maine as Jack, joined by Taylor Gervais (Gorham, ME) as Gus the Cow, Ali Sarnacchiaro (Westbrook, ME) as Carlotta, Matt LaBerge (South Portland, ME) as the Giant, Rachel Grindle (Portland, ME) as Miranda, Cameron Wright (Ellsworth, ME) as the Mysterious Man, and Molly Keane Dreyer (Raymond, ME) as Ogra.

Maine State Music Theatre's 2016 Season is sponsored by The Highlands and OceanView at Falmouth. JACK is produced with support from The Davis Family Foundation.

Ticket prices range from $10-$15. Tickets are available online at www.msmt.org, over the phone by calling (207) 725-8769, or in person by visiting the Box Office located at in the Pickard Theater at 1 Bath Road, Brunswick. Visit www.msmt.org for more information.
