Good Theater announces the stars and cast for its 10th edition of Broadway at Good Theater. Performances will be Thursday 12/5 at 7:00 ($25), Friday 12/6 at 7:30 ($25), Saturday 12/7 at 3:00 ($25) & 7:30 ($30) and Sunday 12/8 at 2:00 ($30). This year the company will host Kenita R. Miller and Christopher A. Pecoraro as the Broadway headliners for the five concerts playing December 5-8. Joining them will be local favorites: Grace Bradford, Todd Daley, Marie Dittmer, Lynne McGhee, Jen Means, Erik Moody, Bethann Renaud, Amy Roche, Benjamin Row, Stephen Underwood, and Michael Wood. Brian P. Allen is the director and host for the concerts with Victoria Stubbs as the musical director/pianist. Joining Ms. Stubbs will be musicians John Lawson on bass and percussionist Bill Manning. Justin Cote is the stage manager and Iain Odlin is the lighting designer.

Kenita R. Miller is making her second appearance with Broadway at Good Theater. She wowed audiences five years ago when she graced the Good Theater stage. Since then, she has won a Drama Desk Award for her performance in the musical Working. Kenita starred on Broadway and in the national tour of The Color Purple as Miss Celie. Other roles include the Broadway production of Xanadu, and regional productions of Ragtime and Once on This Island.

Christopher A. Pecoraro is a Maine native. After graduating from Westbrook High School, he starred on Broadway as John in Miss Saigon and was featured in Stephen Sondheim's Passion also on Broadway and in the PBS broadcast. He has toured extensively as Marius in Les Miserables. This will be his first appearance with Broadway at Good Theater.

Both Miller and Pecoraro will be recreating their Broadway roles from The Color Purple and Miss Saigon respectively during the concerts.

Broadway at Good Theater will feature songs from such shows as A New Brain, Cinderella, A Christmas Carol, How to Succeed, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Secret Garden, Lady in the Dark, Elf, She Loves Me, Wonderful Town, Gigi and Striking 12.

Tickets are going quickly for this event with the Sunday matinee on December 8 already sold-out. Patrons are encouraged to get their tickets soon for what will be the biggest Broadway event in Good Theater's history.

So far this season Good Theater has presented the Maine premiere of the Pulitzer Prize winning Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris and the New England premiere of A.R. Gurney's The Grand Manner. Still to come is the Portland premiere of Becky's New Car by Steven Dietz and the New England premiere of Bruce Graham's The Outgoing Tide.
